design

the driver , commander seats located @ front of vehicle, turret in middle , troop s compartment @ rear. there 3 large day periscopes @ front position of driver , commander , 1 on each side provide excellent visibility. eleven infantrymen can seated @ rear of hull on individual seats down each side of hull facing inwards. shock-absorbing seats fitted five-point seatbelts standard. of driver , commander position, there access passage troop compartment @ right side of hull. troops leave , enter vehicle via large hydraulic ramp mounted @ rear of hull.

main features

two thermal cameras , ccd cameras in front , rear, providing driver/commander high situational awareness.
left or right hand drive steering.
all wheel steer.
all wheel driver.
anti lock braking system (abs).
modularity allowing use of common components among vehicle configurations.

armour

the hull of original pars consisted of composite aluminium , steel armour provides protection crew , infantry against firing of small arms 7.62 mm armour-piercing attack through full 360°. av8 has add-on armour @ front , sides increase protection level stanag 4569 level 4, protection against 14.5mm rounds.
