the singer perform israeli entry eurovision song contest 2017 selected through reality singing competition hakokhav haba l eurovizion ( next star eurovision ), original version of international format rising star produced tedy productions , keshet media group. hakokhav haba used in 2015 , 2016 select israeli artist eurovision. shows hosted assi azar , rotem sela , featured judging panel composed of asaf amdursky, keren peles, harel skaat (2010 israeli eurovision entrant) , static & ben-el tavori. competition consisted of ten shows, commenced on 1 january , concluded on 13 february 2017. shows in competition broadcast on channel 2 online via mako.co.il.


in audition phase of competition, performers required achieve 70% of votes during performance in order advance; each member of judging panel boost performer s score 10%. judging panel selected top 8 of performers advanced audition phase. top 8 competed in 4 duels of 2 performers each. winners of duels qualified directly next show , remaining 4 contestants competed in 2 duels in second round. winners of duels in second round advanced next show. remaining 6 performers competed in 3 duels 3 duel winners entered final, while remaining 3 contestants participated in second round. out of 3 performers in second round best scoring participant qualified final. 4 finalists were: beatbox element, diana golbi, imri ziv , julieta. imri ziv backing singer israel @ eurovision song contest 2015 , 2016.

imri ziv made several appearances across europe promote feel alive israeli eurovision entry. between 3 , 6 april, ziv took part in promotional activities in tel aviv, israel performed during israel calling event held @ ha teatron venue. on 8 april, imri ziv performed during eurovision in concert event held @ melkweg venue in amsterdam, netherlands , hosted cornald maas , selma björnsdóttir. on 15 april, performed during eurovision spain pre-party, held @ sala la riviera venue in madrid, spain.
