the council upgraded pah homestead roof part of commitment protecting , preserving heritage buildings in auckland city. restoration involved weatherproofing, reinforcing structure of roof , seismic upgrading. council selected materials matching original roof english slate tiles , rolled lead.


auckland city worked other groups , organisations new zealand historic places trust , specialist heritage architects matthews & matthews architects ltd. ensure renovation of high standard. these works undertaken nz strong construction, auckland construction company specializing in unique projects such this.


refurbishment of exterior joinery , façade completed, drainage works , fire protection undertaken prevent further deterioration of building.


called tsb bank wallace arts centre, opened public in august 2010. building houses james wallace art trust s collection of new zealand art, valued @ nz$50 million. collection , regular exhibitions, such of image-maker vincent ward titled exhale in 2012, on display free of charge.
