selecția națională 2017 national selection organised tvr in order select romania s entry eurovision song contest 2017. competition consisted of 2 shows: semi-final featuring fifteen songs , final featuring ten songs held on 26 february 2017 , 5 march 2017, respectively.


competing entries

tvr opened submission period artists , composers submit entries between 20 december 2016 , 22 january 2017. total of 84 entries received, of participate in televised audition stage. these auditions held on 27th, 28th , 29 january , broadcast on number of romanian tv channels between february 5 , 11. these songs, 15 songs qualified semi-final held on february 26, jury determined 10 songs qualify final held on march 5th. winner determined 100% televoting. on 26 january 2017, tvr announced out of 84 entries had been submitted, 72 participate in first stage of national selection. later, entry know withdrawn competition singer lora. 15 competing entries revealed on 12 february 2017.

the semi-final took place on 26 february 2017, @ studioul pangratti, in bucharest, , hosted iuliana tudor , dan helciug, while ioana voicu greenroom correspondent. jury eliminated 5 of semi-finalists; other 10 went on final. highlighted semi-finalists qualified final.



final

the final took place on 5 march 2017, @ studioul pangratti, in bucharest, , hosted iuliana tudor , dan helciug, while ioana voicu greenroom correspondent. winner determined solely public vote. guest performers final included manel navarro, sunstroke project , timebelle along abba tribute band arrival. yodel it! performed ilinca , alex florea emerged winner after gaining votes televoting.



promotion

ilinca , alex florea made several appearances across europe promote yodel it! romanian eurovision entry. on 2 april, performed during london eurovision party, held @ café de paris venue in london, united kingdom , hosted nicki french. between 3 , 6 april, took part in promotional activities in tel aviv, israel performed during israel calling event held @ ha teatron venue. on 8 april, performed during eurovision in concert event held @ melkweg venue in amsterdam, netherlands , hosted cornald maas , selma björnsdóttir. on 15 april, performed during eurovision spain pre-party, held @ sala la riviera venue in madrid, spain.
