montauban’s climate temperate , oceanic. temperatures rather mild in winter , hot in summer. town experienced severe droughts in 2003, 2006, 2012 , 2015. on august 31, 2015, tarn-et-garonne area particularly struck wave of violent storms. these storms, accompanied strong winds, created tornado, caused considerable damage in large part of department. montauban particularly affected, winds measured between 130 , 150 kilometers per hour (a record) in city center.
