land use

large areas of land used palm oil plantations, rubber plantations, , paddy fields. malaysia largest exporter of palm oil in world producing 15.8 million tonnes of crude palm oil in 2007. malaysia 1 of largest producers , exporters of rubber , other rubber products.


as of 2011, percentage arable land in malaysia 5.44%. croplands consists of 17.49% while other land uses consists of 77.07%. of 2009, irrigated land covers 3,800 km². total renewable water resource total 580 cubic km of 2011.
