in autumn of 2004, archive announced dave pen (birdpen) replace walker on noise tour. during same tour, keeler , griffiths met singer pollard berrier (formally of band bauchklang) @ 1 of shows in vienna, austria. pollard had given darius demo cd of own written material, intention of starting project dan , darius. because of latter circumstances, 3 began writing , rehearsing together, , recording in southside studios, london, september 2005. new modern era archive had begun darius, dan , pollard writing , co-writing 7 tracks , dave pen co-writing three, on album, lights . maria q sang on 3 (including backing) tracks. point on, archive no longer front-man-band , collective of individual artists contributing established sound. album lights released in may 2006 , received high critical acclaim in france, switzerland, greece , poland. archive enjoyed predominantly sold-out gigs on lights tour, high acclaim @ festivals around europe.


in may 2009, archive returned release acclaimed album date, controlling crowds i-iii . reached number 1 in french charts week, number 1 in greece, number 2 in switzerland , number 5 in luxembourg. single, bullets , acclaimed single date , reached charts in greece, poland, switzerland, france, , germany. has been featured in teaser trailer cyberpunk 2077. biggest surprise of album return of rosko john, adds unforeseen depth seventh studio album. in september 2009, follow-up album controlling crowds: part iv released, along single empty bottle . archive continued controlling crowds tour, having sold out fifty concerts september 2009 - february 2010, , extensively 2010 summer festival season.

archive have worked on eighth studio album (excluding michel vaillant) in london , paris; under new management, having finished deal warner music - has enlivened hopes in home country of official release @ last. november 2011, short samples of new works featured on band s official website.


in may 2012, band confirmed via website album, titled until re dead, released on 27 august own label dangervisit records. accompanied european tour starting in october, london show promptly added. fusing orchestral, electronic, soulful, progressive , emotional elements, keeler describes new material in comparison previous works more personal - love songs basically. coming @ subject matter in non-formatted archive way. fans heard new song, violently, featuring new vocalist holly martin, released part of wiped out / violently ep on 2 july.

in november 2013, archive announced details of ambitious project date, forty-minute short film , accompanying album set release in may 2014.


the film created of spanish film collective nysu. director jesus hernandez said of film: “archive has produced great album works entire movie script... our challenge translate band’s script images. film set on axiom, island in middle of steep cliffs on sides. on island there underground city dominated bell, decides fate of city’s inhabitants.


the album, titled axiom, officially released on 26 may 2014. band debuted short film , performed live @ 2014 sundance london film festival.

on 20 october 2014 archive announced upcoming album restriction released on 12 january 2015. videos tracks black , blue , kid corner , feel available viewing on official website.

on october 7, 2016 archive released tenth album false foundation. band released music videos driving in nails , bright lights , false foundation .
