ambridge area high school located @ 909 duss avenue, ambridge. 2016, school enrollment had declined 787 pupils in grades 9th through 12th, 32.91% of pupils eligible free lunch due family meeting federal poverty level. additionally, 12.33% of pupils received special education services, while 3.8% of pupils identified gifted. school employed 54 teachers. per pennsylvania department of education, 5% of teachers rated non‐highly qualified under federal no child left behind act.

ambridge area high school offers dual enrollment program. state program permits high school students take courses, @ local higher education institutions, earn college credits. students remain enrolled @ high school. courses count towards high school graduation requirements , towards earning college degree. students continue have full access activities , programs @ high school. college credits offered @ discounted rate. state offers small grant assist students in costs tuition, fees , books. under pennsylvania transfer , articulation agreement, many pennsylvania colleges , universities accept these credits students transfer institutions. pennsylvania college credit transfer system reported in 2009, students saved $35.4 million having transferred credits count towards degree under new system.


for 2009-10 funding year, ambridge area school district received state grant of $42,580 program. in 2010, governor edward rendell eliminated grants students.


graduation requirements
