technical details

1st series units had curved windscreens, replaced in 1980s flat glas, later used on 2nd , 3rd series units. locomotives have bo bo wheel arrangement maximum allowed speed 130 km/h (81 mph). fs stock, d.445 have received xmpr color scheme (white, green, blue).


1st series

the first series consists of 35 units (numbered 1001 1035), in green-isabella livery. equipped 3 headlights, weren t provided remote command system, applied starting october 1996. still had curved frontal glass panes.


2nd series

the second series has 20 units (numbered 1036 1055), in navetta orange/purple livery used push-pull trains. main difference between 1st , 2nd series units addition of remote control equipment use control cars.


3rd series

the third series has 95 units (numbered 1056 1150), in same push-pull livery 2nd series. these units have 5 lights on each cab (three headlights , 2 red tail lights). 2nd series, can controlled control carriage.
