the current høsterkøb school on nedenomsvej built in 1916 replacement older school building 1864. next school community centre. local kindergarten located in former opphanage 1882.


a country house 1920s in 1942 acquired order of saint benedict , converted convent of our lady. on other side of street, cathiolic church owns meglås, former country house operated educational centre. house 1910 , built aage westenholtz, karen blixen s uncle, supported economically when african farm faced bankruptcy.
