hoping clinch playoff spot giants bused fedexfield division rivalry rematch against redskins. giants took lead kicker lawrence tynes hit 20-yard field goal. followed brandon jacobs getting 2-yard td run. lead narrowed when qb rex grossman threw 1-yard td pass te fred davis, giants extended lead qb eli manning connecting mario manningham on 92-yard td pass. lead narrowed in 4th quarter grossman completed 64-yard td pass wr anthony armstrong, giants defense held them on win.


despite win, giants failed make playoffs after green bay defeated chicago. giants finished regular season 10–6 record.


john mara announced tom coughlin return head coach next season.
