all second round clashes determined on last round of regular phase; atlético choloma made history , qualified playoffs on second season franchise , faced real españa, eliminated after 1–3 defeat on aggregate. marathón had drop in last games performance , gave chance play directly in semifinals, finished thirds , had face vida finished fourth. in phase, marathón beat vida tight 2–1 win on aggregate. once in semifinals, olimpia had no troubles eliminate real españa notorious 6–0 win on aggregate; meanwhile in other series, marathón surprised motagua 0–2 away win @ tegucigalpa.
