world of zoo simulate zoo, , players care 95 different species of animals, 11 different families, , place in 1 of 20 exhibits. goal of game keep animals in zoo happy, ways include: feeding animals, playing animals, , improving animals exhibits. keeping animals happy result in hearts , tokens player, can redeem hearts , tokens food, tools, , new animals.
certain achievements can earn player objects, example: new species can unlocked, or in-game awards earned. 1 example of in-game award player raising in status 1 animal family, big cat family, awards range from, lowest highest, junior big cat handler big cat whisperer .
the game feature animal creator , feature allows players create , customize animals personalities , appearances similar spore; along animal adoption network feature—another way players can add animals.
every animal has unique personalities , behaviors; player s goal earn trust , happiness of each animal, player must find method gain trust , happiness each animal. trust animal has in player measured via trust meter; after trust meter gets rank six, player can hypnotize animals.
minigames scattered throughout world of zoo, , pose challenges arising in care-taking of animals, e.g. grooming or healing.
the wii version of game can function single player; can support multiplayer mode 4 players. wii remote used control game in both modes; in multiplayer, player 1 controls camera.
