during reign of louis-philippe, fond of heroes of french history, garden decorated statues of queens of france , french women saints. during french third republic, government added statues of writers, painters, composers, mythical figures, , miniature of statue of liberty frédéric auguste bartholdi. bringing number of statues more seventy.
