the 1935 zigzag ranger station listed on national register of historic places (nrhp). st. john evangelist roman catholic church, nrhp property, formerly in zigzag area. zigzag inn—which, ranger station , church, rustic-style log structure—was built william john bill lenz, son of founder of lenz in hood river county. lenz built many other notable structures in area.
