in 1887, began practice faith-healing herself. in october 1888, cramer inaugurated harmony, monthly journal. in may 1888, , husband opened become home college of divine science. term divine science , however, not coined cramer, had been used earlier mary baker eddy, founder of christian science, wilberforce juvenal colville, had published book title year.


in 1892, cramer founded international divine science association, forerunner of international new thought alliance, interconnect various new thought centers. in 1893, helped open second divine science college, in oakland, , undertook several cross-country missionary trips.


between 1893 , 1898, cramer trained nona l. brooks, ordaining minister in church of divine science on december 1, 1898. brooks returned denver and, sisters fannie brooks james , alethea brooks small, formed church there, 1 become home church of denomination.


cramer died august 2, 1906, in san francisco, due recurrence of tuberculosis result of aftermath of great san francisco earthquake.
