this condition characterized persistent erythematous, rhomboidal depapillated lesion in central area of dorsum of tongue, in front of circumvallate papillae. median rhomboid glossitis type of oral candidiasis, , causes symptoms. treated antifungal medication. predisposing factors include use of corticosteroid sprays or inhalers or immunosuppression.
