on january 9, 2013, ceo smidt, through harbor freight tools, donated $1.4 million of tools , equipment los angeles unified school district’s (lausd) career technical education. donation presented lausd board president monica garcia , executive director michael romero @ east los angeles skills center , occupational center in front of assembly.


later in same year, harbor freight tools expanded tools schools program donating $100,000 gift of tools , equipment south carolina schools.
