bomaderry township opened in 1892. part of shoalhaven estate owned david berry brother alexander berry had built road area in 1858. when david died in 1889 estate sold in portions. subdivision plans bomaderry shown. in 1893 railway extended bomaderry , town began grow time.
one of first houses in bomaderry lynburn still exists today. built in 1895 architect howard joseland jane morton, widow of henry gordon morton, manager of shoalhaven estate. photo shortly after construction shown. road on bridge in photo princes highway crosses bomaderry creek.
after town opened in 1892 several factories moved area. messrs denham bros. built bacon , ham factory in 1900. milk condensery opened in 1901 located near railway station later moved bank of shoalhaven river close bolong road. in 1912 nowra co-op dairy company established milk depot @ bomaderry , major boost local economy many years.
