format

the hudson valley quickstrike lady blues earned bye directly w-league semifinals. washington freedom reserves moved top spot in northeast division, , charlotte lady eagles received division s second playoff spot (the boston renegades original holders of second spot, declined enter).


the central conference have 5 playoff spots. second , third place teams great lakes division play each other. winner play midwest division champions, while great lakes division champion play second place team of midwest division. winners of games play determine conference champion. eastern conference division champions play second place team of opposite division, winners facing off determine goes w-league semifinals. western conference have top 2 teams facing off determine conference champion.


the w-league semifinals put regular season champion against lowest seeded conference champion, , higher-ranked conference champions against each other. winners of these games play in championship, while losers play in third place game.
