as of november 2009 there 77 miles (124 km) of new national cycle network off-road bicycle paths through city, connecting national long-distance paths completed in 2005. in newcastle-under-lyme, there on 100 miles (160 km) of cycle paths in urban conurbation. further £10 million of funding has been secured city s cycling network, spent in 2009–2011 through cycling england s support stoke cycling city.
