snagovo among hardest hit villages @ start of bosnian war in 1992. between april , june 1992, serb forces ethnically cleansed village of bosniak (muslim) residents.


1992 massacre

the woods in village, victims of 1992 massacre captured before being killed.



on 29 april 1992, group of 36 bosniak civilians captured serbs hiding in woods in snagovo. killed, including children , pregnant women, , corpses burned in effort destroy evidence. several days later, victims relatives found burned remains , buried them nearby. serbian major zoran janković went on trial massacre acquitted 19 june 2007 due lack of evidence.


srebrenica genocide mass graves

seven mass grave, containing skeletal remains of 156 individuals, victims of july 1995 srebrenica genocide, uncovered in snagovo. 156 victims moved 7 secondary graves in snagovo original burial sites around srebrenica hide traces of atrocity.
