formation

amaran started out band in spring of 2000, in stockholm, sweden, , has since developed dynamic , original way of writing songs, combining heavy metal guitars clear female vocals. guitarists kari kainulainen , ronnie backlund started writing music , decided form band. found rest of band members in bass player mikael andersson, vocalist johanna depierre , drummer robin bergh. of members came different musical backgrounds , eager put music together.


promo (2001)

before had found drummer amaran recorded first promo 2001 using drum machine , sent various zines, magazines , record labels. received excellent reviews in many well-acclaimed contextsand ended landing them record deal french label listenable records.


a world depraved (2002)

the band set out record debut album world depraved in february 2002 in aabenraa studio in denmark jacob hansen. album released on europe , highly recommended critics , fans over. album described original in sense combination of heavy guitars , intense drums , clear female vocals not people used hearing.


pristine in bondage (2004)

amaran eager write new songs after release of debut , developed whole lot in process , band during 2002. since band pretty young when landed record deal went through whole lot both on personal , professional level, , became tighter band. band finished 14 songs wanted record , agreed listenable record follow-up in april 2003. new material oriented in heavier direction accentuate dynamics between instrumental , vocals further. album recorded in studio underground, sweden pelle saether , entitled pristine in bondage. shortly after finishing recording of second album, bass player mikael decided wanted leave band due personal reasons. fortunately found replace him in ronnie bergerståhl, experienced bass player , drummer personal friend , had filled in mikael before.


pristine in bondage set released through listenable records 17 of december in japan (containing 3 bonus tracks) , in january in europe , containing 11 tracks. amaran has recorded video song inflict on new album , set go on promotion tours in fall , in january connected release of album.


break up

drummer robin bergh left band personal reasons in 2004, replaced pär hjulström. 2005 saw parade of new members pass through amaran, culminating in december dissolution of band. primary among reasons departure of lead singer johanna depierre, , bands inability find suitable replacement (amaran s sole focus band heavy riffs clean female vocals). amaran officially broke on december 28, 2005.
