under agreement, no more 2,500 u.s. military personnel located @ joint military facilities. training rotations have small numbers , of short duration. during such rotation, there might brief periods when there 2 groups of 2500 soldiers @ 1 time in bulgaria. soldiers not have family members them.


possible types of units armor, mechanized infantry, airborne infantry or light infantry. type of equipment use depend on unit , training requirements.


the treaty allows use bases missions in third country without specific authorization bulgarian authorities . u.s. embassy has said bulgaria , united states consult aspects of use of facilities , training areas.
