st. paul

this quarter made of 2 distinct quarters, unofficially called bahnhofsviertel , klinikviertel. bahnhofsviertel located directly south of munich hauptbahnhof, city s main train station. has popularly been called little istanbul, because of large concentration of turkish supermarkets, eateries , shops along landwehrstraße , northern part of goethestraße. south of quarter dominated klinkikum innenstadt, 1 of major hospitals attached ludwig-maximilians-universität. however, there plans move largest part of hospital university campus in großhadern, borough in south-west of munich , convert former hospital buildings residential , office developments. given proximity munich s old town, hospital buildings considered prime developing space. there park along lindwurmstraße towards sendlinger tor. area served subway lines u3, u6, u1 , u2 @ sendlinger tor interchange.

the dreimühlenviertel located directly east of schlachthofviertel , bounded railway tracks south, river isar east , kapuzinerstraße north. residential in character, although numerous bars, cafés , restaurants located along ehrengutstraße , roecklplatz. there no subway station in immediate vicinity, although metrobus on kapuzinerstraße serves both goetheplatz , kolumbusplatz stations, located across river.


am alten südfriedhof

this quarter located east of lindwurmstraße , north of kapuzinerstraße. in east, bounded alter südfriedhof (lit. old southern cemetery ), numerous illustrious münchner buried. quarter residential in character, although on north end of thalkirchner straße, towards sendlinger tor, there couple of bars , restaurants. closest subway station sendlinger tor, in north of quarter.


glockenbachviertel

it claimed glockenbachviertel heart of isarvorstadt. indeed, vibrant part of borough, bars, restaurants , nightclubs straddling blumenstraße, müllerstraße, hans-sachs-straße , klenzestraße. glockenbachviertel, adjacent gärtnerplatzviertel, focal point of munich s gay culture, gay bars , clubs located along müllerstraße. official dividing line between 2 quarters fraunhoferstraße. nearest subway stations sendlinger tor , fraunhoferstraße.
