resistance, expansion, featured updated graphics, sounds, , multiplayer mechanics. storyline takes place 3 years before events of main storyline. player takes on role of ex-special operations soldier, victor troska, has returned homeland of nogova after years in exile serving british special forces. during first introductory mission campaign, island invaded soviet union after members of socialist party betray country , invite soviet forces overthrow government. troska approached nogovans resisting soviet occupation , asked join them. initially, troska refuses have part in fighting , rebukes them because wants put combat behind , believes resistance take many of inexperienced soldiers lives. later changes mind when wounded guerrilla-fighter being pursued soviet soldiers takes refuge in troska s shed. has no other choice fight off soviets , join resistance.


when victor joins resistance forced take command , fight soviets attack base , kill resistance commander. leads units assault soviet bases collect weapons, ammunition , tanks resistance forces have limited supply of weapons. besides fighting becomes important objective through campaign. after initial successful actions more people begin join resistance, making stronger. resistance must overcome threat of soviet bombing of nogova. basic plot of resistance based on 1968 events in czechoslovakia.
