ritchies ceo fred harrison recognised importance of introducing loyalty program. majority of loyalty programs @ time focused on rewarding customer gifts. ritchies decided go in opposite direction, asking customers nominate club, school or charity. ritchies donate percentage of total spend customer s nominated organisation each time customer shopped within stores. @ april 2010 ritchies have donated total of $34,385,924 under program.
