16th century: henriot family settled in champagne.
1794: nicolas simon henriot, bourgeois local family had been in cloth business since 16th century, married apolline godinot, niece of abbé godinot, eminent scholar work had contributed advances in viticulture. marriage sealed fruitful family alliance give birth champagne henriot.
1808: house of henriot officially founded apolline henriot, widow of nicolas simon henriot. undertook task of making available private champagne henriot in father s vineyard in bouzy , sold wines under name veuve henriot ainé .
1850: supplier great courts. house of henriot granted royal warrant of official supplier court king of holland. confirmed in 1881 highness prince fredrick of holland, valuable award.

1880: paul henriot, nephew of ernest henriot, married marie marguet. house’s vineyards of considerable size, spread on best crus of côte des blancs, grande vallée de la marne , montagne de reims.
22 august 1905: royal warrant granted alexandre henriot apostolic, imperial, royal majesty, françois-joseph ii, emperor of austria , king of hungary “for long conduct business , personally”. warrant authorized him reproduce supreme arms of habsburgs.

1926 : etienne henriot, son of paul, had trained agronomist, took on management of house. active in replanting , improving vineyards of champagne having difficulty recovering phylloxera crisis, enlarged house’s estate through repeated purchases.
1930 : although local economy heavily affected crisis, etienne henriot succeeded in developing house’s business opened new export markets, until premature death in 1957.
1957 : death of etienne henriot (1889–1957). son, joseph henriot, trained agronomist, gradually took on reins of family company 1962. joseph remain head of family business , subsequently president of charles heidsieck, veuve clicquot ponsardin, , continued spread renown of champagne henriot both in france , in export markets far , wide.
