i-88 exit 8/state route 206 bridge, located in village of bainbridge, ny, newest version of route 206 bridge completed in 2007. bridge sits on site of previous bridge, existed 1958 2007. newest iteration 5th bridge built on site. original crossing 2 lane wooden covered bridge late 18th century collapsed during winter ice jam. part of wooden deck of original bridge can seen in river bed below north end of bridge, off western side.
