wariner named third olympic team part of team usa 4 × 400 m relay squad. two-time olympic medalist in 400m had failed make individual 400m event after starting poorly , finishing sixth in 45.24 seconds in olympic trials in eugene, oregon on june 24, 2012. @ olympics, wariner pulled out of race due torn hamstring.


2013 comeback

in march 2013, wariner returned victory becoming national champion @ 400 m @ usa indoor track & field championships. @ 2013 usa outdoor track , field championships, wariner unable out of qualifying round, finishing dead last in qualifying heat , field. ran 44.96 @ 2016 mt. sac relays qualify 2016 united states olympic trials. @ time #2 time in world behind martin rooney s 44.92 set few minutes earlier on same track. @ trials, pulled 250 meters semifinal race.


he inducted texas track , field coaches hall of fame, class of 2016.
